Lolas Garden Contest

http://www.lolasvictorygarden.blogspot.com/

I think this is another great way to start the munchkins garden blog. As we have increased the acreage of our garden from 8' x 8' to 8' x 16'. I tell you, we are cooking now...lol.

So here is a Tip coming from the Munchkins Garden.

Ever have soil that just seems dry. Kinda like soil that ants might live in. Well, to fix this problem, we at munchkin gardens feed the soil.

first we turn over the soil that's already there.

then we add 'fresh top soil'

then we add organic fertilized garden soil to create the nutrients for our veggies. (veggie cannot live on water alone)

then we added some peat moss.

then we mix it all up. The soil becomes so dark and rich with nutrients.

then you plant your seeds.

another tip the munchkins have, is that if you lay down a hose in your garden and set it to a timer, you never have to worry about if you watered your garden. (well, for people like me who cant remember where I put my car keys every morning, this is a good tip)

So come join in the contest. God only knows, the munchkins can use a little help as we embark on this adventure.

The good news, is this isn't one of those contests that requires you to do 10 different things in order to enter.

It's really simple. So click away: http://www.lolasvictorygarden.blogspot.com/

  2. What are they planting? I am sure this will be a fun project for them.
We use lots of goat poop and hay around here for mulch. Needless to say we have a lot of goat poop....
